As a kid, I was home schooled for 5 years. Those five years were probably the best and most enjoyable 5 years of my entire educational career. They taught me how to think for myself, how to be self-motivated and driven, how to think outside the box, how to ignore stereotypes, and how to work independently.

The hilarious thing is just how many ridiculous misconceptions and outright lies are thought and told about home schooled kids.

So the next time you hear that someone is home schooled, you might want to be just a little bit jealous, and ask them how they like it, rather than just thinking inside the dark little public school box that so many live in.
